BIOGRAPHY
Vicente ”Tony” Ada, was elected to the 30th Guam Legislature in a special election held to fill a vacated position and served the remainder of that term. He was subsequently elected to the 31st, 32nd, 33rd, and 36th Guam Legislatures. His humble beginnings as the son of a local businessman and former Guam senator influenced Tony to continue his family’s legacy of service. First, as an active duty service member in the U.S. Army, then as a private businessman for over 16 years before turning his skills toward government service.
During his tenure as a senator, Tony authored multiple laws dealing with economic development, open government, education, citizen empowerment, public safety and public health. He focused his efforts on issues affecting the quality of life of the people of Guam. Recognizing his leadership and statesmanship, his Republican colleagues chose him to serve as the Minority Whip in the 31st Guam Legislature and as the Minority Leader in the 32nd and 33rd Guam Legislatures. Upon leaving the legislature at the end of 2016, Governor Eddie Calvo asked Tony to assist in the administration of the government. Tony served as Special Assistant to the governor for legislative affairs until the end of the Calvo Administration.
